Dust-Scape in Cygnus

New and old data from 2017 & 2015 was combined to produce this new image of the Crescent Nebula in Cygnus. Higher resolution detail was photographed with a large Newtonian telescope and the wide-field data, with a fast refactor. Hope you enjoy the results.

Pickering’s Triangle in the Veil

This is a two panel mosaic featuring the entangled strands of differing types of emission nebula located in the Veil. These wonderful nebular remnants signify massive high energy events in the cosmos in the distant past. Pickering’s Triangle is located approximately 1500 light years away in Cygnus.
This image was photographed under northern skies, at my home in Valencia.
Viewing in full screen is recommended.

The Cocoon Nebula

The Cocoon Nebula
Thank you for viewing IC 5146 in Cygnus:

Approximately 15 light-years wide, located some 4,000 light years away from earth. The bright red part of IC 5146 is hydrogen emission nebula and blue ring is reflection nebulae.
The faint chocolate dust is part of Barnard 168.
